Intel's Paul Otellini stepped down as CEO last week, capping eight years as a highly successful but generally underrated leader, Alexis Madrigal writes. Intel generated more revenue on Otellini's watch than under all his predecessors combined, and his supporters say he was a superb strategist and manager. "He's [a] super low-key guy. He's not a Steve Jobs. He's not a Bill Gates. But his contribution has been just as big," says Intel President Renee James.
