Generic OxyContin hits black market before pharmacies

A generic form of the potent narcotic OxyContin has been found for sale on the black market in Kentucky before the drug has reached all pharmacies. The FDA recently gave two Pennsylvania companies approval to sell generic versions of the drug, but law enforcement officials have been dreading its release because OxyContin is widely abused and, if chewed, snorted or injected, can produce a quick and potentially lethal high.
