Study: Early treatment helps slow hypertension

Early treatment appears to help people with prehypertension reduce the risk of developing high blood pressure, according to a new study. In the four-year Trial of Preventing Hypertension study, researchers found that those who received the anti-hypertension drug candesartan had a lower chance of developing hypertension than those on a placebo.
