Clear Channel going mobile with trial program

Clear Channel Communications is continuing experiments with mobile services with the rollout of a free program at five New York stations that will offer listeners the ability to text-message song requests and receive real-time traffic data, among other information. The service follows a trial last September of a $2.99-per-month service with Cingular Wireless that included live broadcast streams; Clear Channel instead has decided to go with a free, text-message-focused model.
