Bush signs GINA into law

President George W. Bush on Wednesday signed into law the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, which prohibits employers and health insurers from discriminating against an individual based on genetic information. Supporters said the law could encourage more people to undergo genetic testing and aid in the fight against many diseases, including heart disease and stroke.
