Fort Worth reaps rewards of treasure buried below

A drilling frenzy in Fort Worth, Texas, is bringing a windfall to residents, businesses, churches and schools selling rights to the natural gas beneath their feet. Horizontal drilling rigs can be as far away as a mile from where the gas will be tapped. So far, about 1,000 wells have been drilled in Fort Worth, the center of a 5,000-square-mile basin called the Barnett Shale.
