European ports seeing more cruise passengers

The European Cruise Council recently reported a 68% increase in cruise passengers leaving from European ports since 2005. ECC Chairman and Carnival UK CEO David Dingle said the ECC expects the market to continue to grow, although the growth may be slower as a result of economic challenges. "With the introduction this year of new ships dedicated to the European market, we are confident of continued passenger growth," Dingle said.
