Portland building seeking LEED Platinum status to include eco-roof

A new building planned for Portland, Ore., aims to achieve LEED Platinum certification. The Weave Building will include an eco roof with 2,500 square feet of planted area and 750 square feet where people can gather. The eco-roof, which will consist of ferns, evergreens, Mexican feather grass and other plants, will use water collected from the roof of the building's penthouse level.
