Professor improves avionics through composites

A physics professor working with grants from the Air Force says polycarbonates like those typically used in compact discs can be mixed with nanotubes to boost the integrity of aircraft avionics. The addition of nanotubes makes the plastic highly conductive to electricity, University of Houston Associate Professor Shay Curran has found.
