Borders CEO aims to drop "interim" from his title

Borders Group Interim CEO Mike Edwards, the chain's third leader since early last year, says he's passionate about the company and its goals and hopes to become its permanent chief executive, the Detroit Free Press reports. The bookseller's strategy to improve flagging sales includes improving the in-store experience and expanding digital efforts with the launch of its e-reader next month.
