British Airways faces pending strikes, record losses

British Airways is in the middle of an ongoing cabin-crew strike and has reported record losses for the year ending March 31. CEO Willie Walsh cited "the biggest economic downturn in 60 years" as cause for the airline's struggles. Unfortunately for BA, the situation has not improved. The figures do not include losses it realized as a result of the flight disruptions caused by the volcanic ash cloud, which occurred after March 31.
