Canada, U.S. agree to new fuel-economy rules

Canada and the U.S. have agreed to tighten their fuel-economy standards, revising efficiency targets for trucks and extending the existing fuel-efficiency plan for passenger vehicles. President Barack Obama is also expected to announce new measures to support the development of electric vehicles, a White House source told Reuters.
