Caterpillar is moving excavator line out of Aurora, Ill.

Caterpillar plants to move its excavator production out of Aurora, Ill., by 2013 to a new plant somewhere else in the U.S. The Aurora plant produces the only American-made excavators for Caterpillar, which says it is premature to discuss whether local workers will be able to work at the new plant. The company employs about 250 on the excavator line in Aurora.
