Google TV to bring new possibilities for marketers, agencies

Google TV, an interactive service that promises to bridge the gap between traditional TV and the Web, will debut this fall. A joint initiative with Sony, Logitech and Intel, the platform will be available via TVs, set-top boxes and Blu-ray players. Google's "pre-existing connection on a large scale" with marketers and agencies should give it a leg up on other interactive TV rivals, according to eMarketer senior analyst David Hallerman.
