LSE considers opening retail bond markets in France and Germany

London Stock Exchange CEO Xavier Rolet is looking into launching retail bond markets in Germany and France to extend the bourse's bond franchise. "We are looking at the rest of the euro zone," Rolet said. "But obviously we are going to wait for the dust to settle. There are opportunities, and there seems to be no focus from local operators." The LSE, which has been expanding into technology sales and clearing, reported an increase in full-year profits.
