Health groups cut back on external IT services, report says

A KLAS report finds that health care groups are relying more on partial outsourcing deals and less on extensive outsourcing services to meet their increasing IT demands amid pressures to satisfy meaningful use mandates. The report cited help desk and application management as the most urgent needs among health groups that outsource distinct IT functions.
