The Minneapolis Public School District has started preparing more food on site and installed salad bars at some schools to meet federal nutrition standards. "The fruits and vegetables at the high schools and the schools that we have salad bars, we're actually seeing a huge increase in consumption," said Bertrand Weber, director of culinary and nutrition services. "Not just that the kids are taking it, they are actually eating it."
