OECD: Developed economies back in growth mode -- barely

Taken as a whole, the 34 developed economies counted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development returned to growth in the first quarter, with a 0.4% rise in output from the final three months of 2012. However, the organization noted a split between the lagging economies in the eurozone and better performance in the U.S. and Japan, a fact that economists expect will dim prospects for further improvement.
