Supreme Court rules for FCC in cell tower deadline dispute

Telecoms and the Federal Communications Commission won a victory before the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday when justices ruled that the agency can force state and local governments to act within a certain time on cell tower applications. The 6-3 decision says the 1996 Telecommunications Act gives localities the authority to rule on tower locations but "within a reasonable period of time."
