Mass. middle-schoolers campaign for safer crosswalks near school

A group of middle-school students in Massachusetts who have been participating in the Generation Citizen program are seeking local officials' help in improving two intersections near their school. The students have been meeting after school to call officials, promote an online petition and connect with area media to spread the word about their efforts. Among their requests are new signage and paint for the crosswalks as well as moving one crosswalk farther away from an intersection.
