Florida Eliminates Racial Factor In Gifted Admission

Gov. Jeb Bush and the Florida Cabinet yesterday moved to eliminate race and ethnicity as a criterion for gifted and talented programs in the state's schools, a report says. Bush said the state would ultimately get better academic results if it has "the same high expectations for all students."
