Atkins: Vindicated, at least in the short term

Two studies find that, at least in the short term, the low-carb Atkins diet helped people lose weight twice as fast as traditional low-fat dieters and led to healthier blood-fat levels. Nutritionists still are concerned about long-term health risks of such a diet, including potential damage to the heart, bones and kidneys.
