High turnover rate brings rookie principals to NYC schools

Since the start of the 2001-02 school year, 730 of New York City's more than 1,400 principals have quit their jobs, with many of them replaced by younger educators who are in their 20s and 30s. Observers fear the young school leaders lack the maturity and experience needed to deal with a demanding, high-stress job.
