Column: Some airlines offer refunds when fares fall

Several airlines will give travelers a refund if the price of a ticket drops after it is purchased, The Wall Street Journal's Scott McCartney writes. If the price drops $200, for example, some airlines will issue a voucher for $200 toward future trips. In most cases, these refunds, called "rollovers," apply only if the traveler has purchased the ticket directly through the airline, McCartney notes.
