Research: Alcohol consumption lowers type of kidney cancer

About one drink of alcohol a day will decrease the risk of a type of kidney cancer called renal cell carcinoma, research from several studies revealed. The pooled data focuses on long-term food and beverage intake and found those who drank one-half of an ounce or more of alcohol on a daily basis reduced their risk by 28%.
