WHO to sign pact to ensure all countries share bird flu samples

World Health Organization officials expect to sign an agreement today to free up bird flu samples so vaccines against the disease can be made globally. The agreement for samples of the H5N1 bird flu strain is designed to address complaints by China and Indonesia, who feared resulting vaccines would not be inexpensive enough for people in developing countries.
