Wyeth's Lybrel gets FDA approval to stop monthly menstruation

The FDA gave its approval to Wyeth's Lybrel, the first birth-control drug designed to end monthly periods for as long as a woman chooses to take the daily pill. Lybrel, to be launched in July, offers a life-style change for many women who would like to end their menstruations in addition to guarding against pregnancies.
