Carbon capture technology is no silver bullet, critics contend

Though it is supported by all three U.S. presidential candidates and lawmakers across the political spectrum, carbon capture technology is not the answer to America's energy woes, say some critics. Although big, centralized polluters such as coal-fired power plants might benefit from pumping carbon into underground wells, there is little hope for capturing the emissions of millions of gas-powered engines.
