Report estimates costs for food imports to increase 26%

According to a report by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the bill for food imports is expected to increase by 26% from last year's prices. The total amount spent on imported food in 2008 is expected to top $1 trillion. However, food prices for some commodities such as wheat are expected to fall due to record harvests.
