Briggs & Stratton rolls out PSP technology for dealers

Partners Standard Protocol Technology by Briggs & Stratton allows dealers to directly communicate with the equipment manufacturers through its computerized business-management system. Briggs & Stratton hopes the technology, developed in 2002, will become a standard for the outdoor power equipment industry. "If PSP gains traction, it would mean a unified ordering system where dealers could order parts from any major supplier directly through their business system with no faxing or telephone calls needed," said Matt Ferguson, systems software architect for Paulson Computer.
