Connecticut Senate approves proposed BPA ban

Connecticut's state Senate has passed a measure that would ban the sale of children's products or reusable drink containers containing bisphenol A. The House approved the measure in April, but has to vote again because the Senate version of the bill removed a provision that would have required warning labels on BPA-containing jars or cans; if signed into law, the ban would go into effect on Oct. 1, 2011.
