Mexican startups lack financial wherewithal

Research at the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business indicates that Hispanic startups generally lack financial expertise, making them more vulnerable during a downturn. "There's a number of small businesses throughout the country that formed on the basis of somebody having a dream and not necessarily a lot of expertise," said David Ferreira, the vice president of government relations at the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
