Official says indictments in Detroit schools thefts are a signal

A team of investigators will work to combat fraud within the Detroit school district, said Emergency Financial Manager Robert Bobb. Two former employees were indicted Thursday in connection with the theft of $400,000 through payroll fraud; two staff members suspended Thursday are suspected of absconding with 40 computers.
