S&P warns Britain might lose triple-A credit rating

Standard & Poor's raised concerns that more large, industrialised nations might face downgrades in their credit ratings as the company dropped its medium-term outlook for the UK's debt. For the first time since S&P started analysing the public finances of the UK in 1978, the credit rating agency reduced its outlook on the top rating for the country's debt from "stable" to "negative".
