UK refuses to disclose banks' stress-test results

Critics are blasting the UK's decision not to release stress-test results on Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and other British banks. "Keeping the information under wraps will only serve to create more uncertainty in the long term," said Vince Cable, a spokesman for the Liberal Democrats. "We need a system that is as open and as transparent as that in the United States."
