Analysis: Immigration policies like Canada's could help the U.S.

The U.S. would help its economy by adopting some of the pro-immigration policies that are broadly embraced by Canada's government and its workers, according to The Economist. In Canada, immigration is considered a way to create jobs. "The United States really should be more open to high-skilled immigrants," the magazine said. "They're good for the economy, and an uptick in demonstrably uncontroversial immigrants might mitigate anxiety about the group as a whole."
