Aviation leaders who convened at Europe's business aviation event, EBACE, say a global emissions deal may be executed by 2020. Elina Bardram of the European Commission's climate action division said Brussels wants to reach an agreement through the United Nations' International Civil Aviation Organization. Leaders from 17 countries have teamed up with ICAO to form a deal that would lower carbon emissions. "The path remains challenging but we can remain confident that a road map will be agreed at ICAO if political rhetoric can be dropped," Bardram said.
