FINRA isn't giving up on BrokerCheck proposal

FINRA recently withdrew a proposal that would have required firms to provide a link to the BrokerCheck database on all online communications, but the regulator has not given up on it yet. The Financial Services Institute categorized the proposal as "vague" and "highly burdensome" and pushed to have it withdrawn. FINRA Chairman and CEO Richard Ketchum is unsure of the timeline for moving forward, but he does plan to revise the proposal.
