Language proficiency lacking in Hong Kong educators

More than half of those who recently took a language proficiency exam for teachers in Hong Kong failed the assessment, according to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. As a result, teacher trainees and some existing teachers who took the exam may not be allowed to teach English in the upcoming school year.
