Report: Tuition rises 6.7% for in-state students at public colleges

Students paid 6.7% more for in-state tuition and fees at four-year, public institutions in the 2012-13 school year over 2010-11, according to a new report from the National Center for Education Statistics. The report showed out-of-state students paid 4.1% more over the same period, while students at four-year, private, nonprofit schools saw a 3.1% increase.
