Report: U.S. nearing "shale globalizer" status

The U.S. is close to "becoming a shale globalizer," while other countries have a long way to go to attain such a status, according to a Deloitte report. The U.S. energy industry has major advantages over countries such as China, Argentina and Poland, and it took three decades to spark a shale natural gas boom, the report stated. "With low prices and surging production, U.S. gas producers want to tap global markets to increase their price realizations for natural gas," the authors of the report wrote.
