Sky-high dining concept spreads to 40 countries

A company called Dinner in the Sky uses huge cranes to hoist diners -- plus their tables, place settings and serving staff -- 180 feet in the air. Advocates say the gimmick is safe and makes for a memorable meal, but warn that bathroom breaks are difficult to orchestrate. "We strongly encourage people to go beforehand," spokeswoman Jennie Hendricks says.
