Struggling New Orleans' schools show signs of improvement

The Recovery School District, which took control of New Orleans' lowest-performing schools, showed the most improvement on standardized tests among all districts in Louisiana, according to data from third- through eighth-grade exams taken in the spring. "Our students in New Orleans are rapidly closing the achievement gap," Recovery School District Superintendent Patrick Dobard said.
