Hyundai focuses on fanatics in World Cup spots

Hyundai is highlighting mega-fans in its World Cup campaign showing a man going to extraordinary lengths to avoid spoilers and a multitude of expecting mothers arrive nine months after a big win. The "#Because Futbol" campaign includes 98 halftime commercials on ESPN and Univision plus retail marketing in large U.S. Hispanic markets. "The theme we're working with is: As loyal and as passionate as fans are about their nation, or about their team, Hyundai owners are about their Hyundais," said David Matathia, Hyundai Motor America's director of marketing communications.
