Users of remote-control app can click an ad to watch a show

TV remote-control application Peel has developed a new feature that lets users click on an ad for a show and choose to watch it live or set a DVR to record it. History Channel will be among the first programmers to use the service, via ads running this weekend for its "The World Wars" miniseries. The ads will be tied to Peel's customized user picks, which trigger 60% to 70% of the app's "tune-in activity," according to Peel CEO Thiru Arunachalam.
