Japan seeks to improve cancer treatment

Responding to complaints from Japanese cancer patients, the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry has established a task force to improve treatment by improving technology and to speed importation of anti-cancer drugs not yet approved by the government. The ministry has certified the efficacy of 10 anti-cancer drugs and urged pharmaceutical companies to conduct clinical tests of others.
