Biotech crops expanding favorable areas for U.S. crops

Genetics technology is expanding the U.S. corn belt, now allowing North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota to grow corn and soybeans. The development of biotech crops also has allowed Kansas to grow more corn than wheat as new varieties are developed that enable crops to better withstand local weather.
