Judge rejects Sept. 11 families' lawsuit against WTC memorial designers

A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by families of Sept. 11 victims who opposed the World Trade Center memorial, claiming the project would destroy what is left of the twin towers' footprints and that the architects didn't properly consult with the state agency in charge of the design. The judge said the designers thoroughly outlined their plans and went "far beyond anything required by law" in consulting with others.
