Construction industry adds 14,000 jobs, but not all states celebrate

The Labor Department says momentum continues to build for the construction industry, as 14,000 jobs were added in April. According to the Associated General Contractors of America, the 29 states that added jobs are benefiting from federally funded infrastructure projects and an upward turn in home construction. "A gradual turnaround appears to be taking hold after years of construction employment declines," said AGC chief economist Ken Simonson.
