Poverty at R.I.'s Central Falls High School draws opposing views

Teachers at Rhode Island's Central Falls High School -- where the staff recently was fired and rehired -- and state Education Commissioner Deborah A. Gist view the effect of poverty on students differently. Gist has stated that "poverty is not destiny," while the school's teachers say that poverty has a daily effect on the students.
